Samuel Eto’o Retires from Football at 38

Former Cameroon hitman, Samuel Eto’o, has retired from professional football aged 38 with a career span stretching 22 years for 13 clubs in 6 countries.

He is also most decorated African player of all-timel and the only player in history to win the treble in consecutive seasons with two different teams.

The prolific former Barcelona and Chelsea marksman holds a strong case as the best African footballer of all time.

With 718 games, the four time African Footballer of the Year scored 359 goals and had 116 assists with a total of 22 trophies.
